The brand name is spelled BVLGARI and is derived from the family name of the company's Greek founder (Sotirios Voulgaris, 1857–1932). Although the company has made a name for itself in jewelry, today it is one of the most prestigious luxury brands, producing a variety of products and product lines including watches, perfumes, clothing accessories, and a hotel chain.
