Banana Republic fragrances and colognes are American clothing stores and part of the Republic Company. Banana Republic is just one of the company's brands. The original Banana Republic was founded by Mel and Patricia Ziegler in 1978. The first fragrance was launched in 1995 and the current version in 2014. Banana Republic fragrances have been created in collaboration with perfumers Honorine Blanc, Jean-Claude Deville, Harry Fremont, Laurent Le Guernique, Béatrice Piquet, Irina Burlakova, Vincent Koznicki, Jérôme Epentin, Pascal Jorain, Marc Chalbin, and Elias Armandis.
